The therapy is based around the individual and the goals for the treatment. The therapy aims to help the individual create changes that can lead to a better mental health and life quality.

What is individual therapy

Individual therapy is one of the most common forms of therapy. The individual, the individual needs and the changes the individual wants to reach is in focus. There is no limitations on the areas that can be treated, it´s more down to the knowledge of the therapist you are seeing. I have experience within areas such as depression, anxiety related problems, phobias, OCD, trauma, relationship related issues, insomnia, stress and fatigue.

The treatment can give new insight and tools- that can lead to a better mental health and life quality. Individual therapy is suitable for all age groups.

The sessions

The therapy starts with 2-3 assessment and engagment sessions. We will explore the problems you want to work on and set up goals for the treatment. The therapy is usually around 5-20 sessions and we will focus on one or a few problem areas. One goal could be to get better self-awareness, understand the challanges and discover new tools to be able to make changes. Homework is an important part of the therapy and the sessions usually starts by reflecting on the latest homework. One session is around 45 minutes.
