This therapy treatment is for groups with similar problems and difficulties. The participants will be able to share their experiences with each other. This can give a positive effect as it can contribute of not feeling that they are alone with their struggle.

What is Group therapy

Group therapy is aimed for people who struggle with similar problems. The methods of the therapy can lead to recognition of the problems among the patients. This can also contribute to the feeling of being in a safe environment and that you are around people that can relate to what you are going through. The participants share their experiences and will be able to reflect on the experiences with support from the therapist. The therapy session can also be a place to try out the new tools that been provided during the therapy.

The sessions

The group normally consist of 6-8 participants. The participants will stay anonymous and not be visible during the group therapy, you will only be able to see me. Common interventions are psychoeducation, which means the group gets information and knowledge regarding the problems issued in the group. Different exercises and homework adjusted after the specific problem addressed in the group will also be provided. The therapy is on once per week.
